This Cookie & Tracking Policy explains how Verilo, LLC ("Verilo," "we," "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on the Verilo platform.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or use a web application. They help the application remember your preferences, maintain your session, and understand how you interact with the platform. Some cookies are essential for the application to function, while others help us improve your experience.

3. Essential Cookies
Essential cookies are required for the Verilo platform to function. They enable authentication, session management, and security features. Without these cookies, you cannot log in or use the platform. These cookies cannot be disabled.
Our authentication provider, Clerk, sets session cookies to securely manage your login state. These cookies do not track your activity or collect information beyond what is necessary for authentication.
4. Functional Cookies
Functional cookies remember your preferences to provide a better experience. Currently, this includes your dark/light mode theme preference. These cookies do not track your activity or transmit data to third parties.
5. Analytics Cookies
Not yet active
We plan to implement analytics in the future to understand how the platform is used and improve the experience. When analytics cookies are introduced, this policy will be updated with specific details about the provider, data collected, and opt-out mechanisms. No analytics cookies are currently in use.
When implemented, analytics will be limited to understanding feature usage patterns (e.g., which reports are viewed, how uploads are completed). We will not use analytics to track individual candidate data or interview content. No advertising or marketing cookies are planned.
6. Third-Party Cookies
The only third-party cookies on the Verilo platform are set by Clerk for authentication purposes. We do not use social media plugins, advertising networks, or other third-party services that set tracking cookies.
7. Managing Cookies
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies. However, if you block essential cookies, you will not be able to log in or use the Verilo platform.

- We do not use cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- When analytics cookies are implemented, we will honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals and other opt-out preference signals as required by California law.
